Attracting Customer Attention: Three Easy Steps

Marketing is all about attraction. Whether it’s via message, presentation, or promotion, the key to successfully marketing your product is attracting customer attention. Printed material is – on the surface – the simplest avenue to market your product and attract attention, and it’s also the most popular. However, simplicity can be tricky to perfect because there is so little room for error, especially for someone relatively new to the game. But newbies, rest easy: here are three easy steps to effectively attract customer attention using printed material.

Prepare a Cohesive Message

You’re selling your product here. Just like in politics, you want to present a unified front to the customers. If you’re trying to highlight a store sale or upcoming special, take attractive photos and write good copy. Unless your target audience is comprised of schizophrenics, of course, be sure to craft appealing, engaging marketing imagery that makes sense with your product and doesn’t conflict with your overarching message.

Use Signs and Acrylic Sign Holders

Put your signs together. You have a message and an image – now, realize their synthesis on paper (or cardboard!). But you don’t want to just put a sales sign out by itself. Paper signs are flimsy, cheap-looking, and they easily fray. Protect them and streamline their appearance by using acrylic sign holders. Signs slip right in, and the acrylic sign holder provides a sheen that attracts more eyes than a plain matte finish.

Placing Acrylic Sign Holders Effectively

Placement of your acrylic sign holders is perhaps the most important step. First off, an acrylic sign holder doubles as upright stand; without it, you’d be left propping up or merely laying flat your signs. Using the vertical element allows you to reach even more customers’ eyes. To figure out where exactly to place them, do a walkthrough of the store. Think like a customer. Where are your eyes drawn first? Place an acrylic sign holder there. Set up tables designed primarily to hold acrylic sign holders.

Keep these three tips in mind – construct a message; use signs and acrylic sign holders; and use proper placement of acrylic sign holders – and you’ll be well on your way to attracting customer attention.
